As part of the celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the relocation of Guatemala City, the Jewish community participated in the Cultural Festival and Gastronomic Fair held at Plaza Cristóbal Colón on Avenida Las Américas, zone 13.
The event brought together families, authorities, and community representatives in an atmosphere of celebration, cultural exchange, and strengthened ties between Guatemala and Israel.
Community participation
The Adat Israel synagogue played an active role in the festival. Activities included:

Presence of authorities
The festival was attended by local authorities and institutional representatives, including members of the Guatemalan Ministry of Culture, the Guatemala–Israel Parliamentary Friendship League, and representatives of the Jewish Community of Guatemala.
Culture, defense, and connection
One of the highlights was a Krav Maga workshop, the Israeli self-defense technique, which brought families together for an interactive and educational experience.
The atmosphere was filled with music, dance, and gastronomy, reflecting the cultural diversity and spirit of cooperation between the two peoples.
The organizers also thanked the Guatemala City Municipality for supporting the Cultural Festival, which celebrated not only an important historical milestone for the city but also the strengthening of cultural relations between Guatemala and Israel.
